Radicular fractures and fissures

A root's fracture has a great influence on the endontic treatment. Depending on the location the maintenance of the tooth will be viable or not.

Radicular fissures are more difficult to diagnose as the root is apparently intact. These can be located in the root's third lower, medium or upper part.
Unfortunately the treatment of a fissured tooth with symptoms (pain, fistula, abscess) often consists in an extraction.
